Phone is Barred !! Help...
Ok so today my N95 was barred, i can't text or ring out, is there anyway to Unbar the phone??
Im on Virgin Network if that helps.... |

Where did you get the phone from?
If its been reported as stolen, then no, you cannot unblock it, however, if its been reported lost, and you have since found it, or prove you are the owner who reported it lost in the first place, then you might be able to get it unblocked.

It will work outside the UK yes, but for how long is anyone's guess.

well I would be careful because if your mate did report it stolen and that's why it's barred then you are in possession of stolen property if they come looking.

Or.. if your mate "acquired it" and sold it on, the original owner may very well have barred it. If this is the case, it's as good as a chocolate fire-guard in the middle of the Sahara. Getting your money back from your "mate" sounds like the best option.. let him deal with the consequences.
I don't like to insinuate, but talk of getting it from a mate for one tenth of the price and asking about selling it overseas really really rings alarm bells in my head.
Return it to whoever had it before you is my only advice.
