n95 multimedia slide
I have a N95, and when i slide the phone up (so the multimedia keys show) it is suppose to open up the multimedia menu..
I recently updated my N95 to the v3, and now when i slide it to the multimedia it stays as the home screen??? is this default behavior for v3??? or nothing to do with that..
If i can change it back, please provide direction.. thanks!

Welcome to the forums. David is correct, the new firmware removed this feature.

Oh right, thats pretty annoying because I liked that feature. A mate told me to check the 'flat cable' which I believe means opening up the phone?.. Glad I checked here now.
Thanks!

It's nothing to with opening up the phone. It was a feature which was installed in V20 firmware. It was then removed for good on the V30 ( can't remember if it was on V21, anyone? )
You'll just have to get used to pressing the media button, then opening the slider for it to swtich. Or use ASR to switch it.

Opening my slider just puts the phone in landscape, no media player. Seems this was removed from v21 onwards then and I never even noticed!

Indeed ... very little use to me as I rarely use my N95 as a music player. I know, I know this was one of it's major selling points but hey there were plenty of others so I can be forgiven, right?!
