Talking All working dandy now

Tried to blow suck but it didn't seem to be doing anything, the crackling sound stayed.

Pressed in with a pin and then retried the blow/suck, and the crackling stopped.

All working fine now.

Thanks salada2k

Does anyone know of a fix for the speakers on the sides of the phone? Mine has been fine all-around for several months and then suddently the side speakers sound buzzy and awful, on phone calls, mp3's, everything. Is that another common issue or did i just bungle mine up?

Salada2k and Everyone Who Contributed To This Post.

I've registered on this forum just to say "Thanks". I had the same problem and the "blow and suck" fixed the problem perfectly! It saved me buying a new phone and signing up for an 18-month contract just to get a new one.

Thanks again!

A few days on now and I've still had no problems, earpiece is very clear now.

To answer your question, on the rear of the speaker are two metal pins which make contact with the circuit board when you put the cover back on, therefore, no wires, nothing to cut or re-solder - it's really easy to do this fix! No more distorted earpiece!

Hi..i have just noticed when i talk, that when listening to the person im calling, their voice kind of 'crackles' a bit - i'm not sure if this is distortion, or plain bad signal?? All i know is it's just started happening..maybe i should just try this blow and suck method?!

I had this problem and didn't have to replace the speaker as this method works.

i gave my N95 the ol' blow and sucky - and it's as good as new! (I had to suck it twice REEEAALLY hard though)

this could be a useful forum, cheers for that sticky now for that little issue of that 'no gateway' problem on my wifi network...

N95 Distortion Fix

Hey guys.. I just recently received a fairly new N-95-4 and had the distortion problem. I tried the suck / blow method to no avail. I resorted to the pin method after taking off the faceplate. After using the pin method I now have NO sound coming out of my speaker. Have I broken the earpiece speaker?

I have check-double-checked the contacts to make sure they will actually contact the motherboard. Everything else is fine.. but I have to use speakerphone! lol

Any input you can offer would be awesome :)

James,

Happy new N-95 owner

Update: Resorted to buying a new a new earpiece speaker at a local store. Put it in and it works like a charm :)
