Experience w/ Nokia Repair Center
I sent my N95 in for repair, and they received on the 22nd. They promise a 7-10 business day turnaround time for all repairs. Well, they have a website where you can check the status of your repair, and it hasn't changed since they "received on 8/22/07."
I'm really doubting that I'm going to have any luck getting it back anytime soon, after reading some horror stories on other websites.
Does anybody else have any experience w/ Nokia Repair Center? I sent my phone to the one in .. I believe.. Alabama.

I've heard stories that in the UK you can forget getting your handset back for at least 4 weeks if the NSC has to 'send it away to Nokia' for repair......
Lets hope our US cousins work faster than that!

I went to get the slider fixed on my n95 the other week, and they refused to fix it! Said it was "general wear and tear" After arguing my point and telling him that its been like that since ive had it he went into the back and this other guy came out and said " yea lots of new nokia n95s have this problem theres nothing we can do!"
So first off its general wear and tear but all new n95s have this problem!? Hmmmm
Anyway walked down the street to "buzz mobile" spoke to a very dodgy man behind the counter, he took it in charged me £15 and my slider is perfect! No idea what he did though, i can see something by the slider rail that looks like rubber but i dont know.
Anyway moral of the story is that nokia repair centers suck!

BS. Nokia and their NSCs are well aware of the issue, and there is a known fix NSUs can do - takes 15 minutes, and many should be able to do this whilst you wait.
Fair play on that mobile shop making cash out of Nokia's incompetence. If you have a receipt, I'd ring Nokia UK, complain, cite the 1,000's of posts on the subject both here and on the official Nokia forums, and demand they a) refund the £15 and b) have serious words with that NSU about their complete lack of knowledge.
They are listed as an official Nokia repairer arent they?

Then you really do have a duty to report them to Nokia to prevent others getting poor service.
Otherwise, how else will Nokia know????

How about this for an incredible NRC experience: sent the phone in for earpiece problems, waited for 3 weeks, got a swap even worse then the first one; sent the second, waited for a week and, when received, they said there was nothing wrong with it and, if I was to send it one more time, they would keep it in for 6 months after which they will be legally entitled to consider it their property.
Called Nokia Consumer Support - all they could say was (and still is): there is nothing we can do about it, talk to the repair center guys.
Further more, as I am an IT&C journalist, I even mentioned the incredibly bad aftersales consumer services in an official Nokia press conference... all I got from the Nokia representatives was typical PR bs, after being declared "hostile"...

Well I'm going to be taking in mine at some point this week to an NRC which is also apparently a "top performer". I spoke to them on the phone and they said they know about the high pitched noise and slider problems and they can sort them while I wait, so....we shall see if this is true lol. Think I'll go this afternoon after work :)
