pc suite problem...

hi,

i got the n95 8gb yesterday and all seemed well untill i tryed to connect to the pc suite...it wont connect via the cable...any idea why?

any suggestions as to how id 'fix' this would be great thanks.

no error message, it gets to the part that says connect cable...i connect it but the 'next' button doesnt show for me to progress..

not sure tbh..i was promted to to connect my phone by a separate wizard and i did..this solved my problem...

problem with nseries pc suite

downloaded the nseries pc suite and it will not connect to my n95 but if uninstall it then download the crap original one it connects straight away. is there ne thing that im doing wrong. if i have the original one i plug in usb connect phone and it asks what settings i want but with nseries nothing

Problem with Nokia PC Suite

Hi - I have a similar problem. I got the N95 8Gb a week ago and, while the phone is great, I can't get it to connect to my PC using the USB cable. Initially, when I installed PC Suite using the CD-ROM that was provided, I ticked "search for upgrades" which searched for and downloaded more recent versions of the software. However, after installation, when I tried to connect the phone, a popup box came up that said:

Found New Hardware Wizard
Cannot Install this Hardware
There was a problem installing this hardware Nokia N95 8Gb
An error occurred during the installation of this device
The name is already in use as either a service name or a service display name
Click Finish to close the Wizard

which doesn't make sense - I don't use any service of that name.

I tried plugging it into a different USB port. No luck.

Some of the comments in other forums seem to suggest that there may be a problem with the software upgrade, so I uninstalled everything, shut down my computer, started up again and reinstalled the software - this time without ticking "search for upgrades" - i.e., installing only from the CD-ROM. Same result.

Any ideas? Any help whatever wd be greatly appreciated. There's not much point having such a great phone with so many features if you can't connect it to the computer.
