No serious knocks or drops, two total, worst of which was less than 10inches onto carpet with the oem leather case on.
And certainly no type of damage anytime recently which would imply a cause and effect relationship.
Also I dont know about the N95's ribbon cable socket, but others I have seen in the past are pretty secure once properly in place.

Yes, on the N95, the LCD cable is VERY securely clamped in a lever-closure socket... This fault has been reported several times so far... I wonder if there was a 'bad batch' of LCD's? I've had mine since March, with never a trace of screen-corruption... It's not looking too good!

Its not that the nearest is in another country ...there are many here (i guess) but the N95 is banned in egypt .. ie.its illeagal to own one in Egypt...stupid rule .. so i'd have to send it to my father in kuwait so it could be fixed under warranty
oh gonna work on the profile right now, sorry ;)
thanks

As your local NSC won't repair it, then your nearest available NSC is in another country! ;) Now that you've explained, sending it to be repaired under warranty seems your best choice...
I'm curious... Why is it banned in Egypt?

I think you may need a new LCD , depending on firmware
Nokia changed the required LCD for firmware 12.0.013 , although I am not sure if the old screen is compatible with the new firmware ..

Wtf? O.o ... why the hell would nokia make a software that required a new hardware :S
although it that actually makes the best sence ... cuz today my gf was messing with my phone ... so she restarted it ... and it ..worked :S ...the screen gave a constant frame rate ... but then after a min.. it started going crazy ... giving weird colours and sometimes black .. :S
but how would i know the LCD the looser at the service center is the right one?

Firmware 12.0.013 or later should be used with screen of part number 4850074 , previous firmware models should be using screen of part number 4850998.
The part number should be printed on the back of the LCD.
