Still need to send the phone back as the light sensor is broken. The keypad lights always come on even during the day and side buttons do not light up, plus it says my phone code is invalid! Stupid carphonewarehouse, tis a shame as the phone had no wobbly slider, no creaking keys are anything!
Hey Recall, did you just use *#7370# to reflash your phone? Also, when you were experiencing the high power usage, was the line steady at 0.7W or did it hover?

I'm experiencing a constant 0.5W and before I open it up, I want to make sure it's not a software related problem.

Thanks to the people in this forum. I just discover new issue with battery drain. I found that my 2G micro SD was the problem. With old SD card energy profile running at 4w 6 hour of fully charge. New SD card insert energy run at .15w and 23 hours. Hope this will help somebody.

ben, the first thing to do if it starts suddenly is check the stuck button approach. Also as stated above apparently memory cards can be the problem so try running energy profiler with the memory card removed (being that it's not an 8gig?) If you are getting 3.42W then there is a HUGE problem. I would also suggest trying a different battery

I take of the Micro SD and turn on the phone and...... oh myyyyyy god.. everything is cool.. i see .25w on the energy profiler.. :) :) :) (i wanna cry lol)

I put back on the Micro SD and start the energy profile and everything is ok.. i start to think that some button was pushed and when i open the phone was fixed...

well glad you got it fixed, seems a lot of stuck buttons lately but good thing it's easy to just remove the cover and put it back on

I experienced a huge battery drain since a few days ago... normally my n95 would last for about 2 days... with use of bluetooth, wifi, making phone calls, using the camera, etc.

So i installed the nokia energy profiler to see what is going on.. it says its using around 0.51w of power on standby, and 0.57w with the backlight on, and 0.67w with the slider open (keypad on)

The second thing i did was browsing the internet to see if there are more people with similar problems, and yea.. a lot..

Mostly u will see things like :

- Disable GPS.
- Check if bluetooth is off.
- Set your wifi to minimum speed.
- Put Display brightness halfway.
- Use GSM instead of G3
- - - And so on.....

Now, while nokia energy profiler says my battery will last for about 10hours (fully charged) i thought what the hell ?!?! thats not 48 hours... whats wrong ?!?!

Here is a screenshot of the actual problem :

So i double checked, and disabled all of my programs (+startup apps) and also disabled bluetooth again,wifi,3G,GPS etc!

Suddenly i bumped upon a stuck key inside my n95, the famous gallery button... (i never use it)

So what i did, i removed my back cover and started nokia energy profiler again... and ****, now it says 20:11 hours left (70% charged battery atm)
Usage around 0.15W standby/no backlight, and 0.20W with backlight on, 0.26W with backlight+slider open (keypad on).

Screenshot (solved problem) :

So if you have a similar sudden battery drain, be sure to check if there are no buttons continuously pressed... they will drain your battery 50% faster!!!

I'm happy i solved my own problem, so the reason why i made this post is for people experiencing the same thing... also could happen with 3rd party covers!
you are the best now my son and I have a lot more battery life thanks to this stuck button
