The same happens for me, suddenly my phone drops from 4-1 bars skipping the ones between, and when I then load up NEProfiler it says i have 19hours left, but the phone is popping up with a "Low battery warning" anyone have any ideas?

This is quite brilliant!!! Perhaps this is what causes my battery drain so quickly. My phone is a few days old and drains in less than 5hrs.

My phone also crashes and wakes up almost immediately especially when answering or making a call. When this happens, I notice that if another call comes in, the other party usually does not hear me unless I use the earphones or restart the phone. I hoping some has a solution for me.

Hi,

Well my N95 8gb is about 4 months old and just last week it started going haywire. The phone gets really hot and the battery does notlast for more than an hour. I need to keep in plugged in to a charger all the time. Replacing the battery didnt help.

I installed energy profile meter and it showed me astronomical readings. According to it, my phone takes about 3.96 W of power in standby mode. :( The ideal being 0.2 W.

Is there any way this can be rectified or is there anyone else who faced similar problems?

Any help will be greatly appreciated..

You have something running that is draining the battery. The fact it's getting hot indicates massive usage/discharge.

Appreciate that you're not intentionally running anything, but I think you should take some steps towards discovering what it might be.

What 3rd party apps have you got installed. Any that use WiFi or 3G data?

Any constant bluetooth connections?

Any keys stuck, does the light stay on.

Any new icons active on the standby screen?

These are things I've personally noticed that do cause massive drain on the battery. That said, even streaming video online I can only knock up 2.1w.

Hi gavingguiness,

The 3rd part tools on my phonoe are WorldMate, Messenger and the energy Profiler and nothing else.

Bluetooth is set to off. Wifi scanning is set to off. I changed it to only access gsm. And i dont think there are any apps running in the background.

I havent checked for any bumped keys yet. But if there are bumped keys, wont this show up in the apps running? i will try to check for this also.

I guess I will have to send it to nokia :((

Just installed this app, its great.

My N95-2 is 7 months young, but gets very very thoroughly used.
I gave it a full charge last night, took it off charge at about 5.am. Its now about 19.30 and the phone has been left on since, but with minimal usage.

I have v30 firmware, I'm using all default settings except having intergrated gps as only positioning method, network mode as gsm, operator selection as manual, never show Wlan availability and packet data only when needed. Bluetooth is off and so is icon animation.
Backlight etc are all at default settings.
I have about 65 apps installed and about 60 games, but none were running for the test except cClock and handy taskman.

When I run this app it shows 0.12w and 37 hours battery left (its been on about 14 hours already, with minimal usage.)

Does that sound right?

When I open the keypad or turn the backlight on it falls to about 28 hours with 0.20w

it falls to 21-23 hours 0.22-0.23w if I continuously press the dpad or run handy taskman.

If I plug in USB it drops to 8 hours remaining with 0.25w.

EDIT, Just set powersaver(cClock) to come on at 90 seconds(it was set to 60 seconds when I got the 37 hours readout) and it went to 39 hours remaining 0.13w with no backlight on.

Anyone know how to turn the power saver off completely?

Edit again, it shows my battery as between ~3.80v,~3.82v and ~3.84v, does this sound ok?
The N95-2 battery is supposed to be 3.7v and all the screenshots I see for this app show ~3.72 and ~3.73.
