Forcing USB connection? Global Unlock Code?

I've currently got my friends N95 which is passcode locked .. the only problem is, the stupid person has forgotten what his code is ..

So i've got 2 questions .. Question 1:

Is there a defult overide code of some kind? .. One that means I can unlock it (not from his network, i just mean his passcode) for him?

If no .. then my second question is:

Is there a way to force the USB connection with the phone? with it locked I can't select OK to start the connection .. With the phone connected to the PC i can put the new firmwire on and maybe back up his stuff ...

Any help greatly appriciated .. cheers guys

No offence but this sounds rather shady. I believe the only way you're going to get around this is to reformat the phone and there by loosing all the data you want to get off.

haha .. its not stolen (if thats what u mean) .. lol .. Either way, my friend dosen't mind .. he would prefer his data backed up but if I can't then it dosen't matter all that much ..

How do I go about reformating the phone when I can't activate its USB connection .. the phone dosen't show up as anything (apart from an unidentified USB device in device manager) ... Thus the reason for needing to force it somehow ..

you need to do a hard reset on the phone but again this will delete all the information and therefor make it pointless if you are trying to back stuff up. I neever said stolen I just said shady.

Power off phone. Press and hold Green, * and 3 and keep them held whilst powering on and for a few seconds after, if kept pressed this formats without asking for Security Code confirmation.

Do you have PC Suite installed on the computer?

Yeh .. it dosen't register that the N95 is connected tho..

try a different usb port but I've never tried connecting it when the phone is locked. You can call your service provider or bring it to a store and they can probably help you get it unlocked

i've already tried a different USB port to no avail .. I've tried it with my N95 as well ... PC suite dosen't see the phone is connected until I select either PC suite or mass storage device ..

True, I have mine set to always select PC suite so I don't have that problem. Like I said bring it to a service store and they can help you
