I've had my
N95-1 for a few months now, and I love it. I've recently upgraded firmware and microSD card and started putting music on it in earnest. I go to the gym, and I wanted to turn my phone into a personal radio station while working out.
Right now, I have almost 600 songs on it, all of them have album art embedded and are properly tagged. When I go to All Songs -> select a song and hit play, it plays okay. I have control of the music player for the first song (~3 minutes). Then, I lose the ability to stop the music or go to the next song or quit the music player, and eventually, the phone has to be turned off. (The power button remains responsive).
I've had a look through the forums, but I haven't seen anyone who's run into this problem (which seems like a pretty easy problem for an
N95 user to have), so I'm guessing I did something wrongly, but I can't figure out what.
I didn't, for example, ever format my new card. I copied the entirety of the old card off, and the copied back onto the new card. Could that be it? The phone has zero problems if the play list has about fifty songs in it, even if they all have album art.
