Nokia N95

about 5 minutes ago during a text my n95 froze and now the phone turns on and is fully functional but i cant see anything at all....all i can see now is just a blank screen....never dropped or anything.....please chime in with any advise

do a hard reset or reinstall your firmware.

I guess you could try turning it off and taking the battery out for a few minutes as a first thought.

Thats ok.
Now i'd suggest the same as Dayene.
Do the buttons make the sounds when you push them? That way you'd know that the reset may work

i cant see anything.!!! all i know how to do is enter my unlock code when the phone is initally started..do you know a code or something after i unlock the keys to do a hard reset? p.s. i just turned it back on and the nokia symbol turned on then flipped upside down then screen went blank again.!! yes the sounds work...

Tap in: *#7780# for a soft reset - This will just reset the settings on your phone

Or if that doesn't solve it: *#7370# for a hard reset (Will delete all user data and restore the phone to a 'fresh' state)

12345 as the default security code for both

And if the buttons make sounds it should be easy for you to take care of without having a screen.

My suggestion goes like this......
punch in *#7370# then hit the left top shortcut key(answering 'yes' to the restore factory settings question) and then type in 12345 and then hit the left top key again.

Max2... Power off phone. Press and hold Green, * and 3 and keep them held whilst powering on and for a few seconds after, if kept pressed this formats without asking for Security Code confirmation.

BTW to see what should be displayed on the screen, connect video-out to a TV.
