Nokia stopped during music transfer

Hello, this is my first post here as I just found this site while searching for help.

Basically, my computer was in the process of adding music to the phone and I was listening to some music I had previously added to the phone when the phone let out a high pitched sound and on the computer it said that the Nokia was disconnected.

The screen on the phone then turned black, but the menu keys etc. remained illuminated. I tried connecting the phone to an energy source and turning it on/off but nothing happens.

I have also tried to connect it to my computer again but the computer does not recognise it.

So to summarise, it stopped working unexpectedly whilst adding music and is now completely unresponsive.
I would appreciate it greatly if someone could explain what I should do as I desperately need to be able to use this phone.

Try taking out the battery, and replacing it
