Whats the Average age of Forum Users?
Think I might have upped it a bit I am 71.
I am involved, and have been for the past 15 years, with a Magazines PC forum elsewhere on the Internet.
We also started out with about 50 members and now have over 20,000 members.
We also used to have "A Lounge" but discontinued it due to it being constantly abused with users getting too personal and wasting precious bandwidth arguing over the most silly thing.
Came on here an hour ago and came across the same thing in a thread titled WTF? (Dont go there Please).
The guy complaining is a dead ringer for one we had in our Lounge Forum
These sort of people are just Mixers. The guy allegedly stated his age as 13. Which prompted me to ask the question "What's the average age of this forums Users.
Finally I think that this is one of the best run forums It's been my pleasure to be part of. And Iv'e been in a few in my time. believe me. Keep up the good work

You're joking right? "CoffinDodger"
My granmas a member of Mensa and she can barely turn the computer on after 4 months of teaching.
No offence if you actually are 71, just testing the waters

I'd estimate the average age of members is somewhere around 25-35, with quite a large number falling outside that range either side... but it's only a guestimation, as that to me seems to be the age-range that posts the most... Though those who are older (and some say, wiser) may only post when necessary, as in when they need information, or can impart the same to others.
I know what you mean about 'The Lounge', frankly, regardless of physical age, at times I find myself wondering about the mental age of one or two posters! ;)
