my phone comapny offers 7.2mbps HSDPA but my N95 only supports 3.6Mbps...it would be compelling to get if it supported 7.2..

I just seems to me that as this is not labeled as a new device, not even an N95"i" that Nokia has admitted the 64M of RAM was a mistake, and needed to be taken care of. Those 'out of memory' errors are even more painful to look at now. :(

yeah, it's like our (old) devices will just be 'erased from existence'...like something in a pciture in Back To The Future....the new black 95 will be out, and people will just go about buying them like our devices never existed...Body Snatcher style...

For the N95 8GB, apart from improvements to the memory and display, the main specifications still remain unchanged...so it doesn't support 7.2Mbps as well...

Just got back from Hong Kong over the weekend. I came across a the Nokia flagship store across from the time square mall and so I walk in. Place has kind of a club atmosphere their's neon lights all over. Not sure what as going on but seems like it was like a product launching or what not. So I take a stroll in and head to the 2nd floor to check out some accessories ( Nokia BT Keyboard ) anyhow as I'm heading back down to the first floor I see a display case with a nice black model looking phone. On closer inspection I see it's the N95 8 GIG model. I have to say it looks pretty nice. The dimensions up close seems nearly identical to our N95's. I noticed however there was no Micro SD slot! As I had my N95 with me I took it out and thought I'd take a photo of it and show you guys on the forum. So I take my phone out aim it at the display case and then I get flagged by some dude in a suit! Tells me I can't take any photo's ! Seriously whats the big deal, it's a phone for goodness sake. Anyhow thought that was total bs. Back to the BT keyboard, I spent3 days in HK and let me tell ya there is NO BT keyboard to be found period! Not the Nokia, Igo, notta. I just about went everywhere you could imagine asking around most just gave me a simple "nope don't have it" type of answer. Guess it's not a popular item, go figure.

Just got back from HK yesterday. They had the N95 8gb version on display but told me it wasn't available yet. Dayene I'm not to happy about the release of the new black N95 either as I just picked up my phone just alittle over a month ago but thats the nature of electronic's don't be too upset. To me it's not a huge upgrade as most of us already have 4gig cards. Only huge benefit I see is having more ram but certainly that wouldn't justify the huge premium to upgrade. Take care of your N95 and come a years time you'll probably still be able to fetch a good price for your phone and who knows what they will release then? 6-7 MP's, Optical zoom, etc. Just my 2 cents for ya.

it is very frustrating getting a new version within 6 months. the thing is, i like having a new phone and now i might not able to hold myself of buying the new one because of the ram and i hate it because it's confusing me. so maybe i'll just hold on to this and see if SE comes up with something similar or the next time a good nokia phone comes out, i'll wait after six months before getting one... lesson learned.

Then what happens after another 6 months? There will always be improvements and introductions of newer and more advanced features...
Guess we'll have to keep waiting then....
