How can I get the options to stay changed?

This is driving me crazy! I can't use the site because the threads are always alphabetical in order of title, and I have to scroll through tons of stuff to get to the most recent posts. I keep changing the options at the bottom of the page, but it doesn't change. Just goes back to alpha sorting. I've tried doing it from my profile, but there's no way that I can figure out. Please, somebody, help me find out how to negotiate this site! Of course, I probably won't be able to find your answer even if you do answer me. I'm using a Mac. I blame everything on it, so maybe this is its fault, too. I can see stuff using Widsets, but can't answer from there.

It started doing that to me this week...it was never like that. I am using a PC and not a MAC. However, you can hit the LAST POST column title to sort by date.

Ooops! I thought this was something I had done on my end- I thought I had mistakenly hit the sort by alpha option in the forum... I noticed it won't stay though.

I seem to be getting the last response at the beginning of the thread. Is this normal? I find myself reading from bottom to top.

Hmmmm- try to resort them on your end- if it doesn't save, let me know.
