No! This is like complaining because the original phone is hastily replaced by a virtually identical model with all the FAULTS remedied!... There's a BIG difference!

Not if it looked like an N95, had the capabilities that the N95 was supposed to have and worked like an N95 should have... NO!

Like I've said before. If it was a car, it would have been recalled and fixed.

Yeah!.
Not sure where the actual thread about this is exactly but i remember that there will soon be a slightly modified OEM back cover to accomodate the newer high capacity OEM battery by nokia....WOOHOO .
Now lets hope its true!...

RAM is very cheap at the moment but removing the main N95 circuit-board, de-soldering the surface-mounted RAM chip and soldering another in its place, along with modifying any circuitry if required... most certainly isn't cheap! In any case, it wouldn't be done that way... the entire board would need to be replaced.

Totally impractical I'm afraid... It'll never happen, certainly not for $20! :(

What the hell? This is stupid.

Nokia have a long history of upgrading models about six to nine months after the original goes to market (six to nine months is about halfway through the product lifespan) as witnessed by the 'i' versions of phones it has brought out in the past.

I knew what I was buying when I got it and I knew Nokia would beef up the model in about six to nine months which, lo and behold, they have. If this surprises anyone then they're barking up the wrong tree.

How many more times!!

Nokia didn't 'beef it up'... They repaired it and re-issued it!
