My work has just told me that i'm getting a PC....

This could be bad.....why? Because my relationship with my man was rocked at one point with the discoverery of him being on dodgy websites like adultfriendfinder etc.

I believe this was just a cheap and easy way to get his kicks, and not intending to swing by the way!!

However it rocked the whole relationship and a PC has never been working in our house.

What can I do to ensure he cannot access these pages should we get connected to the net? I havent had a PC of my own for years so help!

Well you can get something like kidproof, a bit of software that lets you block specific websites, its a pig to install/setup, but he'll no get round it! (can't be disabled etc unless you boot into the config console with the right password etc)

Alternatively ditch him.... pre-emptive strike! Date someone nice like me! :p Only kidding....

He was probably just after his jollies, but then why not just surf for pron? Why go on adult dating sites... arggh, didn't mean to rock the boat there!

Kidproof or the likes will suit your purposes but you need to be pretty IT literate to configure it.

I think you'd have to know him to understand, he's thick. It had been going on years before I came on the scene, but he never seemed to give it up!

I know I've had it out with him Jeck and he's been warned a million billion times either that or he gets a hammering from half my family, who are like the Eastenders Mitchell family. He knows better. And I'll grass him to his ma.

I think I have come to the conclusion about kidproof if he does get access to my PC, but I think I've decided its all mine and hes no gettin a shot of it. Neh neh.

There is that, configure the admin account, stick a secret password on it, then configure an admin equivalent account for your user, and you could create him a restricted user, with no internet access lol.... tell him the only games he can play are "actual" games!

tried the windows parental controls?? :P sorry if it sounds kiddy, but it actually works, you can configure it to block all offensive material etc

Good point... and its free! Might not be as "rugged" as some apps, but hey if your man is fairly computer illiterate it should be enough of a stumbling block. And you could just tell the fib that your isp blocks all graphic content now... ;)

Yes that was what I was going to say, it is the simplest to setup and is free.

Ooh right! Its been years since i had a pc of my own,and never had my own internet.
So i never knew!

This boy is a pain and can't be trusted even with his internet accessable n73! But I guess most boys r bad. I dont mind porn btw, i aint no prude. (i just recieved my dodgy catalogue thru the post is that enough proof man!) i just don't condone visiting those sites!

why dont u just put a password to ur computer...a simple basic hassle free password,which wont let you boot up unless u hve the right password...dont tell it to ur guy....ah these stupid sites, i dont think they are of any use..u shldnt feel threatened...you are too beautiful to be ditched.......lolzzzz
