Here is a question for you....
I've just rang my pal, and whilst it was ringing music was playing to me over the sound of his ring. And dies off after 10/15 seconds.
I've never heard of that before, but is rather cool. I asked him how he set it up, he said he's cr ap with phone and his daughter did it. So he has no idea how it was done.
Can anyone shed any light on this ?

They are called dialtones, and are network dependant, I think. You have to pay a subscription. I used to have one

Looks like it's only on Three.
Found this :
Quote:
Monthly service charge is £1.50, first month as said above is free. It will hold up to 6 and you can choose which one plays out to callers. You can pause the service (and still pay for it), or to cancel completely you need to delete all Dialtunes.
Also available to ThreePay customers, subject to sufficient credit each month.
|
Quote:
If you go into Dialtunes on the Services menu, then go into My Dialtunes then you can make the Dialtune inactive. What this means is, you still retain it in your account but it's suspended so you don't have to pay the £1.50 a month or whatever it is until you want to reactivate it. It also means that if you want to reactivate it, you don't have to pay £3 or whatever one off fee it is to buy the dialtune again because you already "own it" in your account.
I suspended mine today, I got too many comments along the lines of "What on earth is that loud music!?" from callers lol.

I have scanned o2 stuff, doesn't look like them of Voda offer the service, shame. I could think of some good ones to use.
