Feb Photo Competition - Macro Shots
PSARNA,last months winner has chosen this months theme which is MACRO SHOTS
This is a Hi Detail image of a close up object. Example image :

The theme for this month is Macro Shots

Rules
* Pics to be sized to 800x600 or smaller, anything over that WILL BE DELETED and the EXIF information to remain intact within them.
* Only one picture can be submitted per forum member, per month. The first image will be your final image.
* All pics to be taken by an N95 only and to have a description of the pic plus details of camera-settings whenever possible.
* Pics to be linked from photo-album sites and fully displayed in the post (not thumbnails and links to Flickr, etc.)
* Points to be calculated for each pic by the number of 'Thanks' credited to it, and added to a tally for each month.
* Member "IJM" to keep the score and announce each months' winner on that night or first day of the month following. With a winner at the end of the year to be given a prize by "IJM" and prizes also given for 2nd and 3rd place.
* A few days before the end of the month, the top three people will receive a PM from IJM asking for their chosen theme for the following month. If the winner fails to respond in time with a theme to be used, the 2nd place users theme will be chosen, and so on with 3rd etc.

Heres my entry. Im a keen watch collector, and this is a close up photo of the rear case viewing window. Watch is a Franck Muller.
Mode = Close up Mode
White balance = Medium
Flash = No
ISO = Standard

This is my favourite snare drum with non-slip grip sticks.
Macro mode, No flash, all other settings default.

Macro setting with flash off, all others default

I have no idea what type of Moth this is, but the picture was taken at my Mums place after she found one of her cats playing with it. I believe it had a leg missing :(
Default Macro settings, with flash by the looks of it (Was a while ago :P)

Taken this a while back, when I first got my N95. Was on Macro mode, all other settings standard.

Default Macro setting.
No flash (obviously! ;) Illuminated by desk inspection-lamp.
Cropped to 800x600 (not re-sized) from a 2592x1944 5MP original.
Post-processed (Sharpened & Gamma-corrected)

This is a Rata, a native New Zealand tree that flowers bright red at Christmas time - the near-translucent bug in the left bloom was not even visible to me when I took this photo....
