"the pipers trail" arrived in Dundee this week, and tonight to comemorate it, the army decided to try and create the worlds biggest Saltire in the sky over the mouth of the river Tay. They used 2 giant searchlights one on each bank of the river (over a mile apart).

Anyway, here is one of the better pics taken with my n95 (they really don't like night shots do they? ..lol) This was taken from the riverbank in Broughty Ferry, Dundee

hey. I'm learning on a Katana DA-20. Attempting to get my private license. That is the runway in the second picture. I only started a while back and have not reached my landing lesson yet. Anyways, i'm off to my lesson right now. I get my first demonstration of spins today.

Just got back from my spins lesson. It was pretty hard. I was scared at first and as usual assumed the worst, but it wasn't that bad. We had 25 knots crosswinds today, so i was able to take off, but the landing was very hard.
The black shadows: I took the picture with my phone on sports mode, so i assume that is the propeller spinning. The plane was descending, hence why 4 different positions of the propeller.

You should try getting back into flying though. It's a lot of fun.
