Sodding orange indeed.

I'm going SIM free or 3 next time.

Well, gonna debrand now. Let's just hope it doesn't get bricked. or break between now and warranty expires.

Thank you again for all your help.

Thank you for all your help,
I greatly appreciate it.
Just remember to take a backup just incase, but dont use it.

SYNC your calendar and contacts with Outlook, and just copy any photos and stuff to your PC first.

If you restore from a backup after upgrading you are bound to run into trouble.

debrand warranty.

Gaz Service Level 2 has posted about his service centre refusing to do free repairs under warranty, in fact there is a whole thread on it and if sp00k is worried about it, I would not be so happy-go-lucky about it myself.

This is a good starting point:

debrand warranty.

And more:

Who is on O2 and running v20 firmware?

You're right, but when you're given an o2 phone from CPW when you're actually on Orange??? Thats what happened to me!

Guess its entirely up to the user whether they want to hack it, which is generally what it is.

Thanks for this!
