instant messaging not working (Tmobile USA)

anybody who has the same carrier (tmobile), did any of you had some instant messaging problem? ive been trying to use it but my carrier (tmobile) couldnt even help me... anybody please help....

what application are you using for IM? are you subscribed to t-mobile's total internet?

i am.. but when i try to connect to server it keeps on giving me the "unable to connect to service" or the "server error" thingy..

are you using the instant messaging? did you have any problems logging in?

for the server name: i put Yahoo!
access point in use : t-zones
web address: http://wirelessvillage.yahoo.t-mobile.com
user id: ******
password: ******

is this right? or am i missing something... dang... i couldnt get this work... please help if you know something... thanks....

which instant messsenger are you using? for instance I use sling and I believe dayene uses IM+ and others use Fring.

I use FRING and never have any problems with that, but is there any way I can change the "name" that others see when I message them? I've tried removing the application and starting again but nothing!

cant i use the one already in my phone... from menu-> application->media ->IM
ive actually used gizmo and fring before, i just want to try if i could use the one already in my phone...
