Tmob UK Users - Web n Walk Query
Anybody here using services like Instant Messaging and VOIP with your N95 connected to T-Mobile (web n walk) successfully?
More importantly, how much are you paying to be able to do this?
I have the £7.50 a month w&sw data plan but this restricts instant messaging and voip. I am trying to get an idea how much more I will have to pay to use these services.
Cheers
Edit: Think I've answere this myself. I think I need w&w Plus for the IM and if I wanted to go for voip also it would be 22.50! I wonder if voip is available on w&w Plus (not blocked), just not allowed?

When I lived in the UK, I was with T-Mobile, and had Flext35, with W&W, and afaik, I used IM within that plan.
Flext35 was £35 a month, and for that I got £180 worth of credit every month, which could be used for texts, mms, and calls. The w&w was an additional £7.50 per month. Im pretty sure I didnt have to pay extra for IM. maybe T-Mobile have changed their pricing tarrifs.?

Cheers GSi, I'm guessing this was some time ago now? I too used to be able to use IM AND voip on my £7.50 / month data tariff but I think they are wise to it now.
They now have w&w Plus and w&w Max. Plus is the one I need for a few more quid a month. I won't be going for Max though at £22.50 / month!

It is possible to use Instant messaging on the basic web and walk package. You just need to use a messanging client that uses http rather than sockets. ebuddy beta falls back to http if it cant get a socket opened. Web and Mobile messenger everywhere - eBuddy former e-messenger
You will need to upgrade if want VOIP. (and if you want to use a socketed version of an IM client like IM+) and to be honest, it's only a few more quid IMO and worth the extra outlay!
