Today I was interested in trying to setup my
N95 to work with Vonage VOIP service.
I checked all over thier website for details on how to set up my phone like voipcheap.com, to no avail.
Forced to call up technical support and thats when things went wacky. After verifying my account basically...( I do have 5 numbers with them for work.)... the tech tells me that the proxy information is classified and he cant tell me. So I tell him to pretend that I have purchased a phone from Vonage as well and that its not working... how do we check the settings. I get put on hold.. and then he comes back and it sounds like I am on speakerphone with his supervisor. After arguing about the use of MAC Addresses and routers for billing... I get put on hold again. Then he comes back with this brief information but I dont think its complete by a long shot.
Proxy group: D.Voncp.com:10000 ( a 10,000 as a port number... geez vonage.)
Relm: 69.59.232.42
Username/pass... was a strange conversation as well... basically your login account to their website is not the same. Nor would he give me any further details.
wth is up with this secrecy. He says its because of hackers. LOL!
I just want to use my
N95 with vonage... not launch missiles in South Korea.
Has anyone successfully got thier N95 to work with vonage, or is it hopeless?
btw, I told the tech when he asked about this website... so i guess our secret hacking cover is fully blown... we all need to regroup at the starbucks at 9th ave in NYC at 07:00
I wants to steels the meggahurrtz. y0! LOLOCOPTER!
