I guess the only way to find out is to try them out for myself. As everyone has had different experiences with all networks.

I was on three who bounce their signal off of O2 but they are not that good and now O2 have morer masts up across the uk as they provide the police radio service (airwave) which is run by the corporate part of O2 and when they put a new police mast up the pop another mobile receiver on the same mast :) which equals better signal for the public and for people like myself better radio reception and mobile reception.

if you decide to go with three i would strongly advise checking the signal in all areas you are going to use it if you can by borrowing a three phone/chip, i have got one one three recently and i live in a good coverage area, however inside the house the signal is virtually non existant and am now stuck with a phone i cant use most of the time !

I Moved from T Mobile to Three and it was the best thing I could have done. For 300 min texts + 300 min to 3 network + 90 video min and 1 Gb internet I m paying 29 pounds a month and a "free" N95

On Top of this I have MSN and Skype, this one works really well and with good sound quality.I m saving a fortune every month calling my family who lives abroad. The other advantage is that they have one of the lowest rates when in Roaming and in countries where there is a Three network (Italy for instance, from where I came a couple of weeks ago), you can use your allowance and pay nothing to call back to the Uk, use the net, MSN or Skype
In terms on coverage, where I live (30 miles north london) no issues whatsoever.

O2!!!

DONT go with three... i had the same problem some time ago (use search)
3's unlocking policy sucks and all they 'help' is providing copy pasted useless crap
O2 gives you unlocked phones and i like their responce..
3 might attract you by their offers.. but hey, remember you are most probably talking about 18 months here..
And i HATE the firmware branding they have as well as their logo
O2's only branding is the o2 logo on switching off and bootup

My plan---
45 pounds
1200 minutes
1000 texts
Unlimited Internet
(The unlimited internet 'limit' is N-O-T 250MB.. they say that they will inform you if they think you are using 'too much'... i rightnow have only my cell as the source of internet.. and i have used way more than 250MB for sure... nothing on my bill)

I don t think you are being fair in your post - Its a question of Choice - Dif Networks/tariffs, suits dif. people.

Personally, I don't mind having the phone locked. The Firmware (V13) doesn t give me any trouble and still works with Emtube (latest versions don t), NGAGE (which ap. needs V20) , among others. Regarding the Contract, I've been 5 years with T Mobile, 18 months is something that doesn't concerns me.

The day that O2 or any other network Provides Skype for free, has similar roaming tariffs (10p per minute more expensive to make calls and 8p more to receive with O2, just for Western Europe), or has something similar to "3 Like Home" I might consider changing.
I'm currently saving good money, just by switching from T Mobile, where I had bill s around 50 pounds a month, mainly to call abroad, or roaming charges.

Good that you re happy with your choice, I'm happy with mine.

been with three for about 2.5 years now, previously i was an o2 customer for 4 years. I am very very happy with three, best provider I have been with. If you get decent 3g coverage then go with three.
