HSDPA on N95? T-Mobile UK

I know that T-Mobile have launched HSDPA, on all their 3G signals, and it works with their datacards. But with my N95 im not getting HSDPA, do t-mobile disable it for N95 users.

I spoke to a sales bod in my local T-Mobile store, and he claimed that all T-Mobile 3g masts should now be powered up for HSDPA.

Having said that, the guy was a prat (he dropped my N95 on the floor, whilst taking it to compare it to his - which he obviously didn't drop!).

You can check your download speed in Opera, by downloading a file. The download manager will tell you the speed at which the file is downloading, and should be a fairly good indication of what speed you're actually getting.

Hi there,

I'm with t-mobile on standard web and walk.

When I first got my n95 I went crazy trying to find out the same, ie Does standard web and walk use HSDPA. Well the short answer is YES. It will have been enabled on your account automatically so you don't need to worry.

As far as I know as long as you have "Use high speed packet data" ticked on the n95 options your done.

Only problem I see is that you have to be in a good 3G signal area for HSDPA to work.

All in all though t-mobile still have by far the best data plan in the UK and I for one am very happy with it so far.

Regards,
Simon
