you can use it in the US, however you'll have to use GSM/EDGE

ATT supports the N95-3 and N95-4 frequencies for 3G but the others will work as stated. I personally have the N95-1 on ATT and works fine. Be sure to read our threads about fakes before you go buying from China

is it because of the WCDMA frequencies? if its because of that then I was told that they added 850/1900 MHz after the store ordered them, btw i want to get my n95-2 from china. Also i was told that they do that because china only uses 850/1900 MHz.

if it's a N95-1 or a N95-2 then the 3G will NOT work in the US. IT MUST be the N95-3 or N95-4 and you MUST be with ATT to get the 3G. If you don't care about 3G then get any one of them but yes it is because of the frequencies used. Do you have a link to where you are getting them so we can check it out for you to make sure you get an authentic N95? Or are you hand carrying from China?

ok because there is a N95-5 and I don't remember if it's from China or Japan but it does NOT have WiFi on it. I would STRONGLY suggest you read through all the threads about spotting fakes before buying one

Even if the phone is made for Japan or China (ie regional character sets, etc) it should still work in the US. I had a Sony P800 once upon a time that I brought from Japan and it worked perfectly here in the states.

but I agree with jkoppee that you should do some research before dropping several hundred dollars on a phone.

yes the phone should still work but the japanese version, the N95-5, does NOT have WiFi but is still an N95. Made in China does not mean it won't work as a lot of the N95s are but I would jsut make sure you know what you are buying because almost all the fakes AFAIK are from China and they are darn good copies
