Email issues

I just got my N95-1, and love it. I purchased it as an upgrade from my BB Pearl. The phone was an unlocked model from Tiger Direct, which I purchased for my T-Mobile account. I can't seem to get my Yahoo or my work Outlook accounts to connect. I can get on the internet, and send SMS, MMS, and I have the unlimited data plan.

Is there anything I should know???

Thanks.

I tried under messaging, in the "mailbox" folder. I set it up with my email addresses. The yahoo account is the classic one.

Here's what I did:

Yahoo was set up with the send/receive address as webmail.yahoo.com (POP3).

The work outlook was also set up as a POP3, with the send/receive address of webmail.myagency.state.fl.us (the email address itself is set up as EMAIL REMOVED

yup. It doesn't tell me anything about the yahoo account, and it initially tells me it doesn't recognize the account type for Outlook, so I have to input more information. When I select "connect", it times out every time.

hi there

iam not from usa but ill try to help basically with yahoo.com the standard email dosent have pop 3 suport , you have to pay for that as an extra with yahoo.com however it may be more hassle then its worth but you could change it to yahoo.co.uk as this supports pop3 as standard or you could upgrade your yahoo.com account iam not sure on the pricing for this

heres another thread i wrote on getting yahoo.co.uk on the phone it may help you out mate :-)

I appreciate the advise I have been given. I found the issue though. Unlike the E61, the N95 doesn't come with the "push" technology built in. I am currently using the trial version of Road Sync, which is on this website. It worked immediately, and very well at that. Again, thank you all very much.
