I heard 1700Mhz......Their Nokia model like 6263, supports 1700.....
I have N95-3, and looks like is not going to work. We will see (October 2008 in Seattle). I had an experience in a city north of Seattle on 3G, but looks like that was roaming on ATT &*%*&^(&^#.

yeah did a little more research. seems 1700mhz is uplink and 2100mhz for down. this is gonna suck. only phone i can find that has that frequency is the 6263. hopefully the android phone is better. 6263 looks archaic

Yes, 6263 is not the phone that anybody from this forum would like in their pocket. I got 2 for my kids......and they will be on 3G, and I will not with my N95. They will give me such a hard time :-))

I've spoken to a Tmobile rep, someone reliable I hope, and he said when tmobile is fully functional with 3G in the US, there is a work around to get it working on the N95...he didn't tell me how...I think he's spitting BS but I'll be optimistic here...

I hope thats the case. I've noticed here in South Florida, my N95-3 will sometimes switch to 3G, although its the unconnected 3G icon. I tried making a call and connecting to the net when it happens but no dice. I'm on T-Mobile.

If there is the technician I spoke to was not aware of it. They just released 3g here in Dallas and my n95-8GB can't find a signal.

Tmobile is and will be using 1700 Mhz. for their 3G network in America. There is no use of the 2100 Mhz. band at all.

The N95 does not function with this frequency. The radio inside the phone can not simply be 'retuned' to a new frequency.
