Please clarify "the exact same problem" - same as who ? If you mean Bload, I'm afraid that his/her post only shows that he/she is unaware of a problem with using NSS and nothing more. Please explain in full detail what exactly you do when you try to change your product code using NSS, starting by telling us which version of NSS are you using.

You will be amazed by the number of people who vehemently state "I followed the exact procedure as per the guide in the Tips" and when you go through it step by step it turns out they have managed to include some amazing improvisations within what seems to be a very simple and straightforward guide.

Thanx

The code 0561948 worked like a charm.. Now does anyone know what kind of information I'll need to set up wireless internet on Rogers network. I havn't done the update because I'm afraid all that information will be lost from my phone. Thanks again...

i too have a nokia n95 from rogers, and i have been having some problems that they blame soley on software, and firmware out of date
my problem
- when i press a soft key to access my messages(text) it takes about 2 - 3 seconds before it opens up
- when i open an application(barcode reader for instance) and press exit from the options it doesnt exit, i have to press the end call button to get out of the screen
- it has also been really glitchy and taking long to load up things, has any of you faced this problem and know how to fix it can u please pm me thanks in advance

ps when i got the fone origionally it worked perfectly, and no problems till my 30 days came close, and now i cant get a straight exchange from rogers becaues the 30 days is over so i am not happy with them rite now

Please do not hijack other people's threads with your totally unrelated issues.

This reduces your chances of getting the solutions you are looking for and also confuses other users who read this thread with the aim to resolve problems relevant to its title and theme.

Rogers

I can confirm that code 0561948 works perfectly on Rogers. Just be sure to save all your contacts and other info before upgrading.

Also, no worries about saving Rogers WAP and internet settings as the phone gets these back after the upgrade with no problem at all (must be saved on the SIM I guess). The only thing you may lose is the Rogers on Demand TV service (never used it and never will), but I think you can get this through a URL on your browser if you need it setup again.

Send a message via MSN to mariokarter
basically you have to debrand it, but it means you lose whatever apps rogers loaded onto it, most of which are crap but some of which you may actually want, and unless some geniuss has extracted them from the rogers n95 firmware youll have to learn to live without them if you debrand.
