Orange 3G outage in Glasgow?

Hi,

I've recently switched networks from T-Mobile to Orange, mainly due to T-Mobile's poor signal at the places where I most frequently visit. Anyway, I put my new Orange SIM in my phone and noticed there's no 3G connection whatsoever. My phone is configured for dual mode, but I've also tried UMTS and still there's nothing.

Anyone experiencing similar problems?

Probably on account of you not being in any of the major English cities...

A little bit upsetting when you think that you pay the same tariff rates as everyone else, but get a lower quality service.

We get the same problem here in Wales; That's the small chunk of land bolted to the left side of the island.

Absolutely. I'm not the impressed with Orange thus far, I'm seriously tempted to slot my T-Mobile SIM back in just for the 3G.

Have you had any problems at all with your 3G connection recently? I still no signal today, this is quite absurd.

LOL

I'm not laughing at you really, it just tickles me that 3G is taken for granted. With the National Park Authority objecting to any planned structures more that 3 feet high around here, I'm lucky to get a signal full stop, let alone a fast data connection.

But yeah, in this day and age, with the money the Networks make, it is absurd, as you rightly say.

And so the problem is solved and I'm laughing off my head off here - the SIM Orange provided me isn't 3G compatible!

Oh well, back to T-Mobile and full 3G for me.
