No internet access on 3?

Hi all,
I have recently upgraded from the n95 to the n95 8gb doing so moving from t-mobile to 3 with the internet max added,The problem is i am unable to access the internet (my 3 works fine).
I can get it to work if i go into a 3g area but it should work elsewhere like it did with my old phone on t-mobile.I have also tried opera mini but this just seems to connect then process but not load up the page.I have contacted 3 and they did not make much sense so im hoping you can help.

i dont know why it isnt working but I can confirm that it should. My three internet works in gprs, edge and 3g areas

thanks its good to get conformation that it should work.Im thinking a firmware update might fix it?

Ok so i have just got off the phone to three and i have been told that i can't get web access on the gprs signal that i recieve where i live and up the road where i work as thier internet only works on 3g,I was not told this when i bought the phone and i am so hacked off now. Is this true or am i getting told porkie pies?

The Three network uses the 3G signal to be able to access the full 3 portal which will allow you access to the web. So this is probably true, but I have been able to used MSN on a 2.5G signal before ? ? ?

I was on three for couple of years mate also had internet add on.Hope i can explain this right.Where i live i dont get a 3g signal i could access my 3,check my usage etc but most of planet 3 was unnavailable because i was not in 3g area.However browsing open internet was no problem via 2g,using phones own browser was crap took ages to load pages but internet was tolerable using operamini.Now this was when 3 shared there network with o2.So in effect when i was accessing internet via 2g i was browsing via o2 network.However when three dropped there partnership with o2 and moved to orange my internet more or less stopped.Using own browser i could still get my 3 check usage etc,but browsing open internet id keep getting time out messages.I phoned 3 tech support and was told same as you.I told him id been using internet for two years without 3g after he put me on hold he came back and apologised admitting you can use internet via 2g.Now there was times after three switch to orange internet worked but it got less and less till eventually i could hardly use internet anymore.My theory is they have to use orange transmitters but orange give priority to there own customers so if theres a demand your last in the queue.I should also add that other problems increased after switch to three/orange dropped calls,texts arriving two/three days late.I ended my contract moved to o2.

As a follow on from above, Three are now in partnership with T-mobile, sharing all their attenna's to provide a larger 3G/3.5G network. They still use Orange and sometimes O2, but are migrating over to have the single largest network in the UK.

Thanks for the replys,I have emailed 3 today and they have phoned me back to say the tec team are looking into the problem so i hope the issue is resolved very shortly.

I have the same problem, it worked fine on 2G / GPRS until about 6 weeks ago. Now it just says 'Loading...' forever. I think 3 have used Orange as the 2G carrier for quite a while haven't they, so this shouldn't have been a recent thing. I'm wondering if there's a difference between X Series and Internet Max (which I'm on). Any info would be great.

As above im with three and i dont get a 3G signal in my villiage, i could check my mins/texts but the rest of my 3 i couldnt use, and yes i could also use msn no problem.

Now ive got a N95 i can connect to the net fully using my router, and when im out 9 times out of 10 i can use 3g, sorted!
