Angry Orange Uk (30mb = Unlimited)

Orange thinks that 30MB of mobile data is unlimited.. theyve got this new data bundle (since 1st June).. before it was out in the press it just mentioned the unlimited side.. I thought it'd be at least 1GB of fair usage policy.. it costs £8 a month and I think it's crap.. I couldn't believe it when I called customer services and I said do you mean 30MB daily?! she said no MONTHLY... UGH.

I know the feeling.

Vodafone advertise it too, but thats 120mb monthly.

T-mobile is the best with a 3Gb cap. However they also advertise with unlimited,

It should be banned. Personally I think T-mobile have a lot to brag about, 3Gb is great and Vodafone really are not competive even though it's the same price... and Orange is the worst for data.

When are these providers going to realise people like me use their mobiles as a PDA for accessing e-mail, etc.

Orange def say UNLIMITED ANYTIME for £8, and off peak from £5 on the Orange world screen on my N95 (says coming soon free home page).

Strangely nothing is mentioned on their website, only Orangeworld WAP site!

30 MB wouldn't even work for me if it was per day.

Unlimited is supposed to mean unlimited. If they limit you to 30 or 120mb, even 3 gb it's limited... obviously. I don't understand how they come up with calling it unlimited. That's BS. It's false advertising and it's underhanded at best. 30MB is total crap.

I've used 7 gb in a month once with Cingular. That wasn't even with my N95... if they charged me a dime more than my unlimited data plan was, it'd end up coming out of their pocket.

I know the feelings here. Only reason I chose T mobile because it's the best you can get in the UK.

T-mobile do a webnwalk max which is 10Gb a month.

Where do you get the 30mb limit from?

It's not mentioned on their website anywhere about the £8 deal - and certainly no mention of such a limit. Only on the £1 per day max tarrif which is capped at 30mb usage.

So Cingular did not question your 7GB usage? I might consider the upgrade to Unlimited
