Cheapest US carrier?

Hey guys,

Who can tell me what is the cheapest plan for service in the US that will work for a n95?

Now, with wifi and fring and email, I dont really think I need a data plan anymore. I'm paying T-mobile $29.95 per month for 300 minutes + $5.95 for text messaging and I'm wondering if I can't get away for a lot less...

Will the n95 work on non GSM carriers, or are we stuck with t-mobile and cingular?

Suggestions?

Thanks...

Tmobile and Cingular only. The N95 is a quad band GSM device.

Cingular has aways done me right. I don't like the coverage of TMobile around here, it's pretty much a joke. Cingular is great for me, I'd prefer Verizon, but I also prefer the option of a Nokia handset. Verizon doesn't seem to know Nokia exists anymore.

Yes, but don't they still only pack one 3G/UMTS frequency support for the region sold in? Ie US handsets wont work on UK or APAC UMTS networks only GSM, and vice versa?

Or does the N95 support all 4 GSM and (as they use the same frequencies) the 4 3G signals too?

Quad band - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
GSM frequency ranges - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Previously Nokia supported only the frequencies of one region on 3G hence my uncertainty as to whether this still applies.

Either way I know when I last roamed from UK to Germany, 3G DIDNT work when I was told it did. Had to use GSM, and it cost me more than 3G would have!

Unlimited data really lets the N95 shine. Be careful though- I just found out that it appears Cingular is blocking the UDP ports necessary for streaming video with quicktime.

Does anyone by any chance know a work-around for this? Is there anyone on Cingular that can stream video from m.youtube.com?
