WAP + GRPS = same thing ;)

GPRS is the connection type, and WAP the content. O2 will use GPRS for WAP delivery

That doesn't sound right. Anyone else on O2 that can confirm this for wotzup?

You might want to call back and talk to someone else. I'm not totally sure the person you talked to was very knowledgeable...

hiiyaa, im on o2 genie, dont be fooled, i used the wap while away once, and its a limited amount free, and it goes rather quick on the N95. turned out i used it and 8 quids worth of credit in a couple of hours without warning.

as for the settings, think i went on either the nokia website or the o2 website , not to sure now. you put your mobile number in and they send you a multimedia msg. you just save the settings then...worked perfect for me.

So you want the old dial-up WAP settings, which use the voice side and connect as if it's a 14400baud analogue modem .

GPRS would be extra, but it would be per kB not per hour.

You'll find the settings near the bottom of this page if they still work.

One more thing, since it goes through O2's WAP gateway it probably won't be any use for the GPS map downloading or web surfing.

Hi all sorry for hijacking the thread but did you get the WAP set up wotzup?

The O2 WAP is handy as its taken from the free call time and i dont really need a lot of traffic as i only really use it for MSN

cheers
