in my newspaper yesterday(australia) was an article about a new service called mobiK.com, they offer free sms to people who join up(free) between members.
basically you send a sms and there is a small delay of 7 seconds where a text ad appears below your sms and then it is sent
the advertisers pick up the bill for the sms
early days but it looks like it could save $$$$ for the budget savvy or sms maniacs out there
and if you get people to join you earn their currency "K" to buy products on their site
