Maybe the folks on 3G Phones, 3G Mobiles, News, 3G Reviews, Forum, 3G Store, Games, 3G Newsletter and more. could give you a clue?

Plenty of Irish users there - and Three users (how I got the info on N95 not working on 3)

I've never had any problems with gps since the first week, when like a lot of people, I wouldn't wait long enough for it to get the first fix :). It works in the car, while walking, while biking, while climbing mountains. It's awesome...

My advice is never to buy a phone on contract. It's just another way to get scr*wed... Ever since Sprint told me I couldn't get out of my 1 year contract after 16 months... because I'd made some minor change 11 months into the plan so it started my contract all over again... so I forked over $200 for the privelege of never speaking to the *******s again...

Coated and/or heated screens affect many GPS devices. The N95 has a slightly weaker GPS receiver, so I'd expect it to really struggle or not work at all in cars with these - especially when a signal is lost, and trying to relock (ie entering and exiting a tunnel)

Got the phone in vodafone store. The phone doesnt come up with the vodafone live or anything in that. Its absolutely SIM free... I am using the phone on O2 network. Still need to explore a lot of features of the phone...

Good Luck !

Well just a coincidence i joined this forum today. i bought N95 from Vodafone Ireland and it was unlocked?? ??
yea there was a surprise for me as well. Rite now i am using it on my 3 network sim.
Sure u can use any unlocked 3G capable phone on 3 Ireland network, and to get the mms, wap, etc setting you can go to Nokia Ireland - Home and get the settings from them.
From my personal experience with 3 Ireland i know its better to try nokia website than asking 3 to send you the configuration settings.
