I am sorry, you are right. I reset my log this morning and then tried the gps. Approx. 12kb was used. I guess, being a new phone with all these apps. , I got carried away and updated the weather forcast, for the week.

I belive this is good news to Rogers customers in Canada, they get 3G network! Rogers claim to being the only North American carrier to offer true video calling (2-way video calling).
Cool i belive we had that for long time ago, but better now en ever..)

N95 with Rogers
I am also in Toronto with my N95 with Rogers. It works flawlessly and I bought mine at Hi-Mobile in Montreal(I bought it on the net) but Tiger Direct is selling them for almost $200.00 less than what I paid. I wonder also why rogers does not handle them. Frankly I don't care, because when I show mine to someone with all the applications, They can not believe it.

It's been way too long a way for HSDPA if you aren't in the GTA region. Heck I even saw a release the other day that AT&T is rolling out HSUPA in limited centers with the SW 881 card. But that's the state of the mobile industry in Canada, expensive and antiquated.
I'm really hoping that we'll start to see plans for the next-gen N-series in tri-band UTMS/HSUPA. It'd be nice to have 3G back home for whenever I'm actually in the country....

Hi, i'm a looking to buy a N95 in Edmonton and i'm wondering if its better to buy an unlocked phone off Tigerdirect and to get a Rogers plan or to just go through Rogers directly and get a 1 or 2 year plan or something. Also what is the best/top plans for N95?

The n95-4 (the one that rogers has) is branded by rogers and has its own limitations. I say, go to an asian store somewhere there in edmonton and look for the n95-2. Or, if there is a Cellular baby branch there (a fido retail store that has imported phones). You could get an unbranded and unlocked n95-2, and a discounted price if you sign up for a plan.
as for the plan, last time i checked with rogers here in vancouver. they did not have 3g support for the n95. For internet, i just use wifi anyway. Just choose a plan that's right for you

What limitations does it have? So there's no 3g support? Yet there is iphone 3g?

Yeah. The last time i checked with them was when the n95 was first launched (2 months ago or so) by rogers. There were already 3G phones that existed back then(other than the iPhone that is). The prices were just too steep for the 3G service so no one really looked into it. I asked about the 3g support with the n95 and all they said was that they were not sure, but as far as they knew (he even confirmed with the other sales reps) all they offered at the time was EDGE for that phone. I don't know now though.
Sad to say, but I got a free iPhone with 3G service under fido that is payed for by the company that I'm working for so I have not bothered looking into it again.

The Rogers N95-4 is a 3G phone and is not limited in any real way. You will have to check your own coverage for 3G, I'm not sure what the coverage is like in Alberta.
The two main things that Rogers changes are:
- You can't turn off 3G mode
- You can't use an mp3 bigger than 600 kb as a ringtone
If you don't mind being locked into a contract, you can get the phone cheap from them (~$200 with a 3yr plan). If you're already getting the phone and the 3yr contract, you can then sign on for their $30 / 6GB plan for the same term if you want to use lots of data.

Just to add to ReneC's reply:
The 3G mode can be turned off if you call their tech support.
Also if you are interested in the 6GB plan for $30, it's a limited time offer.
