No offense, but that has nothing to do with this issue. Dual mode has nothing to do with the ability to receive calls while browsing on edge

That was also my understanding. Like, if youunplug yourethernet cable the content in your web browser is still there, it doesn't go away. Sosame idea with your phone, thedata is already loaded so you would be able to take the call. But yeah, thats an advantage of 3g, you cando both simultainiously.

Just like btuis said, you need to run in dual mode in network settings. Personally, I receive calls while I'm browsing or downloading, once I answer the call, it says Packet data transmission on hold and resumes after I hang up.
I also have an iPhone that I use also with ATT and I've noticed people saying "I called you, you didn't answer" when I talk to them and I realize it happened while I was browsing.

dual mode does not matter unless you have the N95-3, this is because the others don't support the US 3G and therefor don't support the dual mode.
