Edge on AT&T: Calls not received?
Does this only happen with AT&T/Cingular? Every time I'm browsing on Edge and someone calls me, it doesn't come through and I don't receive it. I just get the usual missed call notifications. Is this only AT&T? Can something be done to change this? I hate using Edge because of that. :(

Calls come through fine for me while using Edge. Work while using Edge and WiFi simultaniously as well.

Gah. What carrier are you on? My brother and I (he has an iPhone) go through the same thing on AT&T while using Edge, no calls come in. Maybe it's our plan or something...I'll have to look into that.

Check you've enable call waiting.
Pretty sure I had this issue when roaming, and using GPRS over edge (was in Germany, but guessing similar issue).
My work handset didnt have caller waiting enabled, so I kept missing calls and only getting message alerts after ending the data call.

The deal is, if you are accessing data on EDGE at exactly the time a call comes in, you WILL miss it. The reason you think you can get a call while browsing, is that you are not actually accessing data at that particular moment. 3G, or course wifi is the only way you can access data and talk simultaneously

That's also my understanding.
If you are just using GPRS then you can get calls at the same time but not using edge.
