Aww, gee, I'm sorry to hear that... It must be really terrible for you, having to live there without a Nokia Service Centre!

I guess if all else fails you could always send the phone back to your pal in the not-quite-so-tropical UK and get him to sort it and return it? Might even turn out cheaper in the long run...

Just got a message back from Vodafoneunlockcodes, the mob my mate got the code from and they reckon the code they sold us was direct from VodafoneUK and are guaranteed to work as they are from their Database, so I'll try and get the counter reset and try it again.I have a feeling my mate took it to a couple of shops to try to get it unlocked before he bought the number from this place,so the counter was probably triggered before we tried this code.I'll ask around there's gotta be someone here who can do it.

Its still worth trying to get a code for free from Vodafone if you know anyone in the UK with a Vodafone account.

Another poster on here has had trouble with a genuine Vodafone code because the Vodafone letter said that he needed to have a Vodafone SIM and he didn't have one and tried it without and it didn't work.

yeah that option is still open as I have already Emailed my mate in the UK who actually owns the phone, gave him all the info and asked him to contact Vodafone and try to sort it out.So I'll see what he comes back with Cheers,Gus.

If he has this in an email, then he needs to forward this to Vodafone.

I doubt VERY MUCH that Vodafone give them access to their databases. Sounds to me like an employee at vodafone running their own biz from home, or selling the codes to these folks. A clear violation of someone's employment no doubt
