N95 + Vodafone, but have I got a good deal...?
Hi guys, I am awaiting arrival of my N95, it should hopefully be tomorrow!
I have the phone through Vodafone and it costs me £45 p.m. for that I get:
750 minutes - any network, any time
500 messages
and 100mb of data a month.
It sounded quite reasonable to me, but I'm wondering if anyone else has gotten much better deals (not that it makes any difference now lol?)
Thanks
Karl

Its reasonable, especially counting the data, but not fantastic.
Im assuming its an 18 month contract.

It is an 18 month contract (my first actually as I've always had 12 months)
I know it not amazing, but I was quite pleased with the data allowance, in fact replace pleased with suprised!!
Now I just have to hope that this will keep me occupied for 16 months till my next upgrade..!

thats about right for that contract, I have just started a similar contract of 500 mins, 500 txts and 120mb web browsing, it normal costs £45 but I get a tax and NI free phone so it only costs me £30, plus its only a 12 month contract

That's for £35 a month, with the first 3 months at £17.50.

If its my money I spend it on voda
In my experience Voda is not always the skimpiest deal but its normally nearby. The biggest plus is that voda coverage is very good, when our company used voda I got no complaints about coverage, not so with the "cheaper" competitors that they insist are better, someone always finds time to grumble now we are on another provider. When I spend my money it is always on voda for this reason... sleep easy

I had an 18-month T-Mobile-UK Flext35+Web'nWalk contract, with a 25% discount-for-life promotion... Meaning a tariff cost of 31.88GBP/month. I bought the N95 SIM-free (and obviously unbranded) during the term of this contract.
Recently I renewed the same contract without upgrading my handset (T-Mob had nothing better to offer IMO), as I didn't upgrade, I negotiated a 15 GBP discount per month over the life of the new 18 month contract which means that now, for 180GBP/month of credit... which can be used for calls (20p/min), texts (10p) and MMS (20p) + 1GB of data/month, I pay 16.88GBP/month... Which I'm reasonably happy with! ;)
In fact I've found that by using Truphone, for the last couple of months I've used only half of my T-Mob credit each time... It's just a crying shame that it doesn't roll-over and accumulate.

I'm on a Vodafone too but for the same money get 750 minutes, 120mb of data and 3000 texts, that's the bit I like, I can let the kids text until their hearts content knowing they'll never use that lot.

I know a lot of people going for this Orange deal especially with the un-limited texts. Only the graphite handset though, I guess they have been less popular than the plum!
I'm on such a good deal with Vodafone I can't even quote details in case they take if off me but I've had it for a while! Vodafone gives good service but their website can be very ropey at times if you rely on it for checking billing / usage etc.

Been a Vodafone customer for ages, my last phone was a Sony Ericsson K800i, called into my local Vodafone shop at the weekend and they offered me a FREE upgrade to N95 8GB. I'm on the anytime 200 tariff, pay £25 per month. Normally this would have been a £75 upgrade, but they said it was a one-off, probably due to the iPhone launch I guess :)
Happy bunny :)
