Really interesting thread!

Im a new web and walk n95 user as well. When I phoned up and asked about HSDPA I was told it was already on, but im not seeing a 3.5g logo when I use the web n walk in central london (which I presume will have the service available)

However, I havnt yet been able to upgrade my firmware (suprisingly my computer didnt have the ram to run NSU), so is it possible that HSDPA has been switched on but my phone cant yet use it?

Any help would be appreciated!

That's exactly what I was told. Ring Tmob again and demand them to initiate HSDPA, as mentioned I had to ring a few times, speak to several people and different departments. You'll get there in the end. And you will see the 3.5G when using HSDPA with UK TMob, as I now do. Hope you get sorted!

3.5g is available for me ... and my w&w package is neither Plus or Max. Inceidentally, I never had to request HSDPA setting up - it was just there.

Seems it's the luck of the draw, although I would imagine sp00k is not far from the truth with his guess as to how this has been dealt with.

I use HSDPA or 3.5G whichever you like. I have Web'n'Walk Plus and it has always been enabled on my mobile. I know this as I get a 3mbp/s internet connection when I use it as a modem for my computer :P

Are you sure you can get HSDPA in your area? It is still very limited by the looks of things and I don't really think unless you are using your N95 as a modem that you will really see a difference, I hardly do.

Hi Guys,

I have had the same experience with my N95 on T-Mobile UK Web n walk. I don't live in an HSDPA area, but I used the handset in London a few days ago, and I was getting 3.5G on the display, I had not contacted T-Mobile to request it.

I am on Web n Walk plus but have never seen 3.5G on display despite spending most of my time in central London. I am however only on firmware v11. Do I need to upgrade in order to receive AND display 3.5G ?
Thanks
