N95, AT&T, and streaming media

Hi!
I have an N95-3 on AT&T with their unlimited MEdiaNet plan. I am able to connect at 3.5G, browse the web, use GPS and Google maps, and more with no problems. I can tether my Nokia N810 Internet Tablet and browse the web that way. I can browse m.youtube.com on the phone and on the Internet Tablet. On the tablet, I can actually watch the videos. On the phone, I cannot. It never connects. Any thoughts here? Firewall thing perhaps?

I've got the same problem with MediaNET. When I try with wifi it thinks about it longer but still fails to connect.

Hey Dan. Welcome. :)

I don't know what the deal is with that exactly, but AT&T has a nasty habit of blocking some streaming ports. I was looking for a solution a while back, as I was having the same problem. Finally, the issue was simply resolved. No reasoning behind it unfortunately, though I suspect it is AT&T blocking the required port for streaming to realplayer.

Let us know if you get it sorted out.
