Three Network switching from 3G to 2G

ok where to start....

I got my N95 on Three network, I have two other contracts on Three, within my house i cant get a signal on my N95, but I can on my Nokia 6120 and my Motorola A925. It seems like it wants to lock to a 3G signal and will not go to a 2G signal, I remember having problems with previous phones which was resolved by changing setting within the "network" option, but the only way i can do it on my N95 is to manually choose my network, which is a lot of hassle....

Can anyone give me any advise on this ? ?

Menu -> Tools -> Settings -> Phone -> Network -> Network Mode -> Dual Mode

This will allow automatic transfer between the two networks but can lead to low 3G signal strength instead of using 2G as the phone prioritises 3G

Menu -> Tools -> Settings -> Phone -> Network -> Network Mode -> GSM

This way you will always have a GSM connection (And probably at full strength most of the time)

You should have 3 settings under 'Network' -> 'Network Mode'

- Dual Mode
- UMTS
- GSM

I always leave mine on Dual Mode so it falls back to GSM when I'm not getting good reception from 3G towers.

Can you see that option?

Ok now I am definitely certain you have a branded device - Unfortunately there's no way of changing the settings as the settings aren't actually included in the firmware itself

You will need to de-brand the device to revive the settings, but that is a process which will void any warranties you have on the phone - I can post more info if you're interested
