Oooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhh

Orange have just called me (aye can you believe it!) and it is in regards to the email I sent them in December. he has left a voicemail, apologising for the delay in getting to me, and wants to find out more.

I believe this is their head office as well.

ARGH! What to say, what to do???

I guess I should still speak to them ito make sure my account isnt messed with again.

I'd say thanks for contacting me but it's currently in the process of being sorted... and maybe give them the details of the guy that's dealing with it...

OR... They may work it out more accurately! ;)

thts cool.. my mobile operator messed up once with my telco bill.

there was a new package here in malaysia called 'family plan' where u can call to ur subsidiary lines for free.. but somehow, i kept getting charged for it..

so everytime i call them and demand they remove the calls to and fro my subsidiary lines.. they remove it.. resulting in a mere RM20 bill for me?! im actually on a RM125 package then.. HACK.. i dont mind!!

same thing happened the next month.. i did the same thing, my bill is reduced to RM20..

what actually happened, is that my calls to my subsidiary line amounted to RM105 (which should have been free).. and my package is RM125.. my telco charged me RM230, which should have been RM125.. i have no idea how hey came up with the price of RM20.. but im happy.

FYI, RM20=USD5.26, RM230=USD60.52, RM125=USD32.90

Normally once they give you a credit they don't reverse them, because it just makes the situation even worse.

I know how frustrating it can be but I can also relate to the call centre reps (I work in one but not as a CSR, and can't really say too much more on that due to NDAs, atleast publicly, but it isnt in cellular).

You probably will get more now, and the delay probably was due to the holidays, those departments usually close for the holidays. It still should not have taken so long to get a response.

Remember this, companies make more money when the service works the way it is intended to work, and this includes billing, so while the reps dont care the companies should care if they care about profit margins. Every call you have made has cost them money they would rather not spend.

My advice, talk to the rep that left you a voice mail. Ask for a credit for the inconvenience, you are entitled to it. I'd be crediting you at least 2 months, and I would be ensuring you are on the plan you want with all the add ons you want (all at promotional rates). Now you always have the option of being let out of the contract instead of a bunch of credits. If you decide to stay, and you get credits, ask if you can have their direct line in case something happens again or ask him to follow up once a month for the next month or so.

He probably wont want to follow up but he probably will let you call him if something goes wrong.

On a different note, I am assuming a tariff is what we Canadians call your cellular plan. I thought a tariff was what countries charge when you import items like a car and such.

Anyways good luck, I hope it is really solved and you get what you deserve.

Yeah tariffs are the plans here in the uk.

Well a strange thing happened. Remember the other thread i made about the service text messages? Well it all links in now.

I recieved two texts today. One told me to call a short number. The other said i was getting cut off.

I called the short number. It was Orange carrying out a survey. Ha ha ha. He asked me what i rated Orange from 1 to 10. Just guess what i said! He then asked if i would recommend Orange to a friend. I told him Never. He asked why, and was astonished by my story. I mentioned the forums online about people with similar probs. I told him i had to call someone from the Exec Office. Low and behold I got transferred to him.

He knew what he was doing. Yet all he could do was apologise and give me 100 extra mins. i told him I didnt care for it though, but i took it.

As for those service texts, in my other thread,it was actually him who induced them, as he discovered they cut me off, so he put me bk up again.

Looks like now its come to an end. I hope. So much for compensation tho eh?

Well that was nice of him to turn your phone back on again!
I am glad it seems to be solved. I'd still push for more compensation though, you deserver it!
