Heres the link: Get Started - Wireless from AT&T, formerly Cingular
Simply give CS a call and ask to have your plan switched. If you get a natzi rep who seems unwilling to switch you to the cheeper plan, tell them politely that your phone is a non qwerty phone, is not a smartphone by their definition (you can go on th their site right now and add mediamax200 to a N75), and demand to be credited the difference for every month that they had you on the wrong plan in addition to switching you to the correct plan.

ohh yeah, the other part of your question, tethering, as they call it, is not allowed, but is technically possible and people do it and get away with it. They of course reserve the right to bill you for it if you tether (the tethering plan is closer to 100 a month i think). But if you do it occasionally, i think you should be fine.

The mediamax plans aren't really 'plans' like you are thinking. They are added features just like a text messaging plan. You need a minutes plan and then add mediamax to it.
3000 a month isn't too bad especially when I have several sidekick friends that refuse to answer their phones and immediately text yoiu back.
exodus where did you see the unlimited text mediamax? I keep asking for that and I keep getting told they don't offer it

Thanks for the link. I also saw a plan for Cingular on another forum called MediaMax 1000 - $29.99 w/ 1000 Messages (Txt and MMS) and Unlimited MediaNet. Does anyone currently have this plan or know if it still exits?
-Thanks

Just click on the link I gave you, and then on "back to list" on the left to see all the current media plans (their mixed in with messaging plans, just scroll down). There may have been other plans available in the past, but if there not on the website, then at&t doesn't have to offer them to you, but you never know what could happen if you just give them a call.

smartPhone Max
I see they currently have a smartPhone Max plan for $29.99 that has unlimited data and 1500 messages. So i guess that's 500 more messages compaired to that media Max plan you saw on other forum and it's offered right now.
My question is what's the difference between the mediaMax plans and the smartphoneMax plans?
Along the same line, i see the smartphone Max plans specifically say IM's are included in their # of texts/mo, however the regular media max plans don't say anything about IM's. Wouldn't IM's (i'm assuming for aim/yahoo/msn) be considered regular data (and therefore unlimited on those plans) and not messages anyhow?
