I believe that depends on the prgram you are using. I currently have an app called slick installed and I'm almost positve that it uses the data plan and looks just like an instant messenger where as some send and recieve texts via SMS and there for would count as a text message and not data

I am having trouble locating MediaMax 200 that people are talking about. The links provided on this thread are no longer working. Can anyone show me a direct link! Thanks!
Also, is there a difference between MediaNet and MediaMax?
Would I need a new SIM card if I sign up for the media service? I currently have a 64k SIM card.
Finally, MediaMa is at 3G speed right?

THANKS!

your best bet is to call AT&T because from what I've seen lately they keep changing things. I have two lines on the account and signed up for unlimited texts for both phones for 20 and then I have the unlimited MediaNet on mine. The MediaMax I believe is the plan that includes MediaNet and MediaMax. The plans and pricing are different in each location so try cingular.com or just call them.

I called AT&T to confirm this recently. I originally thought that the N95 was a PDA and I also thought about the $39.99 option. The one AT&T rep on the phone also said PDA unlimited plan would be $39.99. I called AT&T later that same day just to verify and the rep looked at the phone and compared it to the N75 that AT&T currently offers which is not a PDA and informed me that I should sign up for the Unlimited MediaMax for $15. The $20 option as noted earlier is when you add the 200 text's a month option. So if you want unlimited mediamax and 200 text's a month it would be $20 a month. Hope my comments help a little considering I am waiting for my new N95.
