Hi Tjeagles,
Vodafone's voicemail service is free of charge to set up. If you would like to activate your voicemail you can do so by dialling 1211 to turn it on, if at anytime you wish to turn it of the command to dial is 1210.
You can set your voicemail to divert calls to it if your phone is out of coverage, switched off, engaged, or if you don't answer, the caller can then leave a message.
You can retrieve your messages by dialling 121 from your phone or by dialling you mailbox number from any other phone and entering your security code. (You can get your mailbox number by dialling *#104# from your mobile.)
Voicemail will alert you to the waiting message in one of the following ways;
Alert & Deliver - Voicemail will call your phone and deliver the voice messages when answered.
Voice - Voicemail will call your phone and ask you to dial 121 to retrieve your messages.
SMS - Voicemail will send a text message to your phone and ask you to dial 121 to retrieve their messages.
All calls to 121 to retrieve your voicemail will be charged at 15p/min (Inc VAT); this will be covered by your inclusive minutes if available. If you choose alert and deliver to retrieve your messages you will be charged for the duration of the incoming call and again this will be covered by your inclusive minutes if available.
You can find out all the information you need from the voicemail section of the
Vodafone website here.
I hope this helps you set up your voicemail.
Thanks
Gembo
