Whats the worse that could happen???
If I got my 3PAYG sim card, got the £5 a month internet bundle, used it solely on my PC as internet and on my phone.....
...what if I went over their max limit, would it just cut off?!?!?

Depends if that £5 a month allows using your phone as a modem some are fussy about that bit.About the cutting off bit im not sure maybe you should ask them |

The small print say they will contact you if the use is excessive (T&C 6.5 para C)
Although they say that if you continue after being warned, basically they can suspend your service (T&C 9.1 para b)
No real dramas there

I'm going to say there's no way they'd cut you off.
If they did they would be missing out on your precious money.

i agree, when i first got my nokia 6670 my bill went up to 200 USD for Data charges ONLY!! the limit was suppose to be 40USD but they didnt even bother to call me up! Humph!

AT&T can be rather Draconian. They can tell whether you're using your phone to "tether" a laptop. (not sure how, device name perhaps or volume of data)
They don't want you using their MediaNet plan, but they want you to pay extra for a "tethering" plan.

Just logged into My3 website, and I can buy a Mobile broadband PC Internet add-on for £10 a month, limited to 1GB, or 3Gb for £15, depending on your usage.....
